Our Houses & Groups
At Kita am See, we create safe, bilingual and nurturing spaces for children from 3 months to 12 years.
Our main house at Zürcherstrasse 37E hosts three nursery groups – Ducklings, Dragonflies and Starfish and our well-loved After-school club Big Birds.
For over ten years we have been safely collecting children from across the Marchhöfe region
together with Taxi Eberhardt children from Altendorf are lovingly walked home on foot by their caregivers.
Before every school year, we practise pick-ups, traffic awareness and routines with the children to
build safety and confidence.

Our Big Birds program offers movement, creativity, reading, writing, and structured homework support – plus a vibrant holiday program full of discovery and fun.

Our lunch table is more than a meal – it’s a moment of connection. Children share healthy, seasonal food, laugh together and recharge in a calm, familiar setting. We consider allergies, preferences and cultural habits with care and respect.
Our new house at Zürcherstrasse 104 adds three more nursery groups Shells, Seagulls and Otters all following the same high standards of warmth, nature connection and bilingual care.
Two houses, one philosophy: care with love, strong relationships, and a loving atmosphere where every child feels seen.
Our work is inspired by the values of Montessori and Emmi Pikler – trust, respect and mindful guidance.
We see every child as a competent, curious individual who learns best through secure relationships and real-life experiences. Nature, movement, language and music are part of everyday life – not as programs, but as a living philosophy. At Kita am See, children grow at their own pace – loved, seen and encouraged.
